My daughter dropped out in the middle of the semester and the college did not ISSUE 1098-T

Hi, My daughter dropped out of school in the middle of her semester after we had paid for tuition.  However, the school did not (more like refused) issue the 1098-T for us to claim tax.  Can we still claim her tuition/book even she did not complete that semester at that accredited college/university?

Thx

Yes.  In the TurboTax interview, answer yes to the question do you qualify for an exception to not having a 1098-T.

There is no minimum time of attendance required.  You only need to have been enrolled  and paid unrefunded tuition.
