Question

My husband Scott went to Truck DrivingSchool and spent $4400.00 of our money. any tax break?

In some cases, you can deduct the cost of truck driving school on your taxes. Being able to do this could save you a significant amount and even allow you to get a refund come tax time. This type of training would fall under the lifetime learning credit. You can claim this credit and likely see a significant deduction on your overall taxes. 

Also, if you became an independent/contract driver or are considered self-employed you can claim the expense of the CDL tuition as a business deduction on your Schedule C.
