Part-year H1B status (Oct to Dec) claiming for tuition costs (1098T) and electric vehicle lease costs. Possible or not?

I am on F1 visa from Jan 1 to Oct 1 and converted to H1B after that. I know that I have to file as Non-resident alien status. Since I am filing as non-resident does it matter if I enroll in a school after converting into H1B and received the 1098T form? I also purchased a vehicle after the H1B conversion. While I am on F1, I never used the 1098T form for filing taxes. I am wondering if it can add anything while I on H1B.

FYI: I am also enrolled in courses during the first quarter of 2016 while on F1 on another school.

Since you are a nonresident alien and do not have the option to file as resident alien (married people might), you cannot claim any educational benefits.

I am not very familiar with the electric vehicle tax credit and if it can be claimed by nonresident aliens, you would need to read the relevant IRS publications
