No, your daughter won't be able to claim the books as an education expense since she is your dependent.  Only the person who claims the form 1098-T would be able to deduct education expenses.

Additional information: Where do I enter Form 1098-T?

You should count the money she paid for books (if you haven't already reached the maximum) in calculating the credit on your return.

But, she cannot claim anything on her return, because she is your dependent and another person (you) are already claiming her education expenses.  It's "all or none".
