Should I exclude money received for 2020 on my 1098-t form?

the 1098T should only include 2019 - that is how it is created.  can you be more specific with your question?

If there is a check mark in Box 7 of your 1098-T, then the amount in Box 1 includes amounts paid for an academic period beginning January-March of 2020. If that's the case, this means tuition for the spring academic period of 2020 was received in 2019. It is OK to leave this on your 1098.
