Question

Should I report student loan interest if I am not eligible for the student loan interest tax deduction?

I receive 1098-E forms from my student loan servicers to add to my taxes, however my income is above the MAGI for the student loan interest deduction. Do I still need to include the information for my 1098-E forms if I am ineligible for the deduction?

No, you are not required to enter information about student loan interest that you have paid even if you would be eligible to take the deduction.  If you are certain that you do not qualify, you do not need to enter anything.
