Student info worksheet question 1 4 years yes no na what does that mean

That question is asking if the student has completed their first four years of college as of the first day of the tax year (January 1, 2016). 

If the student is working on their fourth year of college during 2016, then the answer would be No.  If the student already has a bachelor’s degree, then the answer would be Yes.

What if im in the middle of college? Should I answer N/A or no?

@Raver02 TurboTax asks if  you 'have completed four years' to see if you qualify for the American Opportunity Credit.

 

Since you have not completed four years of college, say NO to this question, so you can qualify for the credit.
