Hello,

I have 2 daughters, ages 8 and 10, who went to 2 summer camps over the summer 2022 when we did not have anyone available to watch them. It seems as if I can use those expenses to towards the Child & Dependent Care Credit, but I am not sure what documentation I need to provide. Neither camp gave me any documentation as far as Tax ID number. One is a non-profit camp that was at their school, but travels to a different school each week, and the other was at an Equestrian Center. Would I just check off "Provider is unavailable to provide Tax ID number." and provide the name and address of each organization or do these types of camps not qualify for this credit? Total cost for each child for both camps is $610 per child.

Yes, summer day camps qualify for the Child and Dependent Care Credit.  (Overnight camps do not.)  As far as documentation, you need a receipt from the camps.  A tax ID would be best (call and ask them), but if you cannot get a tax Id you can indicate "Tax Exempt" or Provider is unable to provide Tax ID number".
