The form (student information) is asking what I went to school for in 2023. But I graduated in May 2021. How do I fix this? Should I just put college? Help!

It is not letting me finish my forms without saying what form of education I had durring 2023. But I've already graduated. Student loans were on pause for a bit and we were only able to start paying it at the last few months of 2023. Help!

What are you trying to do?

You are not allowed to claim an education/tuition credit on past year's schooling just because you are paying off the loan now. If you (or your parents) failed to claimed the credit in 2021 and 2020, you will need to file amended returns for those years, to claim the credit. You (or your parents) were allowed to claim the credit, even though you were paying with loan money. It is too late claim a credit for 2019 and earlier.
