Last year I paid for my transition to teaching program, the cost was 4,500. I started this program after my bachelor's was finished. The program is called teachers of tomorrow. I am an indiana resident getting a indiana teachers licence.

In order to use the expense for an education credit, you would need to find out if they are an eligible institution. I could not determine that from their website. They need to be affiliated with U.S. student aid programs. The school should be able to tell you if they are.

Expenses to obtain a new job or career are not eligible to be claimed for a deduction.

    According to the IRS:

“Eligible educational institution. An eligible educational institution is generally any accredited public, nonprofit, or proprietary (privately owned profit-making) college, university, vocational school, or other postsecondary educational institution. Also, the institution must be eligible to participate in a student aid program administered by the U.S. Department of Education. Virtually all accredited postsecondary institutions meet this definition. An eligible educational institution also includes certain educational institutions located outside the United States that are eligible to participate in a student aid program administered by the U.S. Department of Education. “
