Tuition statement/scholarship

I paid and claimed my daughters tuition and scholarship last year (paid in December) but this year on her tuition statement is the scholarship amount only.  I know it was taken off her tuition.  Do I need to enter it on this years taxes?

The 1098-T only has box 5 filled in.....nothing else?     If the box 5 amount went fully to the prior year tuition,  you don't enter the 1098-T.    This assumes, you did not claim a tuition credit, last year, based on last year's 1098-T.

Somehow the amount in box 5 has been entered and I can not get it removed.  I have tried everything.  Did it somehow automatically get recorded on my taxes?  I tried taking the school off and editing.  It remains on my taxes.  It was used in the prior year (2020).

You will  reach a screen that allows you to adjust the scholarship amount for "amounts not awarded for 2021 expenses".

Go through the entire education interview until you reach a screen titled "Your Education Expenses Summary".  Click edit next to the student's name. That should take you to a screen “Here’s your Education Summary”. Click edit next to “Scholataships/Grants (for all schools)"
