Turbo Tax 1098-T Output question

We are claiming our child as a dependent and have entered in their 1098-T info under the "deductions & credits" section, under Education. Box 1 was lower than Box 5. While reviewing the forms, it was observed that under Part 5 of the Student Info worksheet, line 4 had populated with the 1098-T Box 1 info (which is qualified expenses). Should this number not be the difference between Box 5 and Box 1?

There should (almost) never be an entry on line 4 of part V.

You should delete the 1098-T and start over.

Go through the entire education interview until you reach a screen titled "Your Education Expenses Summary". Click delete next to the student's name ( you cannot save your entered info). After you confirm your deletion, the next screen will allow you to add the student back.
