TurboTax has picked American Opportunity Tax Credit and I would like to choose Lifetime Learning Credit. Is there a way to choose my second option for my 1098-T credit?

The program is trying to save me money but last year I only paid for half the year. American Opportunity Tax Credit can only be applied four times lifetime and I would like to save it for when I have more expenses within a year.

Yes, the screen should show you the options and you can select. If you are unable to get there, lie to the program, select not undergraduate, this will disqualify the AOTC.

Type letme (no space between let & me) in the search box. Then press enter. Then click on the link "jump to letme''.

TT will give you the option to select another tuition credit.

Type letme (no space between let & me) in the search box. When the dropdown list appears, click on letme rather than "jump to letme'. On the next drop down, click on the "jump to letme” link.
