Under what section do i document 1098-C?

Form 1098-C represents a contribution to charity of a car or other vehicle, a boat, or an airplane. To enter the contribution in TurboTax type 1098-c in the Search box, then click the link that says "Jump to 1098-c." That will take you to the "Donations to Charity" section. Proceed through the questions in that section to enter your donation of a car or other vehicle.

• When it asks you what you donated, select Items.
• How Do You Want to Value Your Donations? - I'll value them.
• When it asks you to choose a category, select "Car, boat or airplane."
• For Method Used to Determine Value, select Present value.

A couple of screens later it will ask you if you received a Form 1098-C. When you click Yes you will get a screen where you can enter all the information from the 1098-C.
