W-2 for Student Loan Repayment

Hi!

I recently recieved a W-2 for student loan repayment through the STARLRP. I live in PA. The W-2 just has MD listed and nothing else in the state tax section. It is completely blank. When I list the W-2 in federal it does not show up in state. I am certain I owe state taxes for PA but an unsure how to make it show in Turbo Tax.

How do I get the W-2 to show up in my state taxes to show I owe?

Change box 15 to PA, at the W-2 screen in Turbotax.  Since boxes 16 and 17 are blank, you are allowed to do that.

You are correct, if there is federal income and you live in Pennsylvania, it is taxable in Pennsylvania as well. I suggest for your W-2 entry in TurboTax, you enter PA in box in box 15 and in box 16 enter the amount from box 1 on the W-2 form.
