What do I enter if I refinanced my home in 2019 and have 2 different 1098's and 2 different lenders?

Enter both of your Form 1098 from your lenders, putting the oldest lender in first. 

Pay close attention to the questions as you go.  You will be asked if the loan was refinanced.  Answer yes to this question when you are entering your second Form 1098.  

Use the following steps to go to the correct section of your return to enter the information:

• On the top row of the TurboTax online screen, click on Search (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax locate the search box in the upper right corner)
• This opens a box where you can type in “mortgage interest” (be sure to enter exactly as shown here) and click the magnifying glass (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax, click Find)
• The search results will give you an option to “Jump to mortgage interest”
• Click on the blue “Jump to mortgage interest” link
