What if I’m taking classes to be an ordained minister? Do those qualify for an education credit?

Yes.  Even if you are not working to obtain a specific college degree, your courses could be eligible for the Lifetime Learning Credit or the Tuition and Fees Deduction if you are enrolled in an eligible education institution.
