What is considered eligible student loan expenses other than interest, can I take my student loan payments as a deduction.

Student loan payments are not reported or deductible on a tax return.  Only the interest paid on the loan is reported on a tax return.

No.  The only student loan expense that is deductible is the interest.  You cannot deduct the principal payments.
