When filing for a online certificate school/college is it possible to list the utilities or internet bills associated with the basic household needs to take the course

No, utilities are not considered qualified education expenses. To be qualified education expenses, tuition, books, fees, supplies and equipment must be required for all students taking the same courses.
 
Non-qualified expenses include:

  • Books, fees, supplies and equipment that are not required for all students taking the same courses.
  • Room and board.
  • Travel
  • Research.
  • Clerical help.
