Simple answer: those are not deductible.

 

Since 2018, regular W-2 employees are no longer allowed to deduct job expenses.   Even in the "old days" , job expenses were only a misc. itemized deduction.  You only got to deduct that portion of  your misc. itemized deductions that exceeded 2% of your AGI,  and then only if your total  itemized deductions exceeded the standard deduction (which was doubled under the 2018 tax law. 

 

If you are self employed, you can  deduct them.  Deduct continuing ed as "other expenses".  There is a place to enter licenses.

 

If the course was a regular, for credit, college class or certificate course at an other eligible institution, the tuition may qualify for the Lifetime Learning Credit.  Most continuing ed courses do not qualify.  Ask the school if they are an eligible institution or check this list
