Where can I enter college expenses
My daughter graduated High School in June. She enrolled in college this fall and attended Aug-Dec. Where can I enter what she spent on books and supplies?
Click on Federal Taxes, then Deductions & Credits, then scroll down the page to Education and click "Start" next to Expenses and Scholarships (Form 1098-T). Then follow the prompts. TurboTax will ask you to input her 1098-T information (she should have received this form from her school).
After the entry screen for the 1098-T, continue and you'll come to the screens for Additional Education Expenses such as books, classroom supplies and equipment. This is where you'll enter her books & supplies.
