Where do I look on Form 8863 to see if I received the American Opportunity Credit or Hope Credit?

I need to know if I or someone else claimed these education credits years prior. I have the forms, but I don't know which section or box I should be looking at.

By looking at form 8863, you have taken the American Opportunity Credit for a student when line 7 of Part I contains a number (non zero).

Prior to 2009, the Hope Credit was on line 2 of Part I of form 8863.
