Question

Where does the DUNS number and Federal Code go on a 1098-T form? I need to fill one out for tuition paid to my (foreign) university.

I am trying to fill out the 1098-T as my university is outside of the US (online program so I'm still in the US) and am unsure where these numbers go (especially the DUNS since there doesn't seem to be a box for it).

There is no DUNS number on form 1098-T.

 

You can only claim education expenses if your overseas university is an eligible educational institution.

 

You can use this IRS link to check if your University is an eligible educational institution.
