Question

Where in my Illinois section can I include the money I contributed for Bright Start 529? All I see are Education Expenses, K-12 materials, and "Invest in Kids."

As you go through the Illinois return, look for the screen titled "Here's the income that Illinois handles differently".

 

On that page, there will be a section for Education.  Click Start beside College savings and prepaid tuition plan contributions to enter your information.

Thanks! I figured it out myself after some time.  I thought it would be under deductions or credits. I didn’t think it would be under income.
