There may or may not be a control number on Form 1098-T.  There is not a specific box that contains a control number on Form 1098-T.  It is not something that is needed in order to file your tax return.  

 

Control numbers are more typically used on W-2 forms when you are trying to import your W-2.  Form 1098-T cannot be imported.
