Using free edition for daughter's return, but cannot locate form to input her 1098-T from her Tech College! Does this fall out of 'free' turbo tax return?

If you start entering information from a 1098T -- you are not preparing a "simple" return to use the Free Edition.  You will trigger an upgrade to a paid version.

To report and IRS form 1098-T in TurboTax Online, follow these steps:

  1. Down the left side of the screen, click on Federal.
  2. Down the left side of the screed, click on Deductions & Credits.
  3. Click to the right of Education.
  4. Click to the right of Expenses and Scholarships (Form 1098-T).

Q. Does this fall out of 'free' turbo tax return?

A. Yes.

But, you almost certainly, should not be entering the 1098-T on your daughter's return.  It, usually, goes on the parent's return, instead.

Here's a post on the five main points on the  1098-T:
