Why does it state that the EIN is not entered for the American Opportunity Credit qualification, but I have it entered already?

How do I enter the EIN in order to qualify for the American Opportunity Credit?

Revisit the Education section:

  1. Go to Federal Taxes,
  2. Go to Deductions and Credits.
  3. Scroll down to Education and click show more.
  4. Scroll down to Expenses and Scholarships (Form 1098-T) and click Revisit.
  5. On the following screen select Edit next to the student's name .
  6. Select Edit next to the school's name 
  7. Enter the Filer's Federal ID.
