Question

Why does State tax return show 250 education expense credit ? Not sure where it is coming from. It does not apply to me. How do I get rid of it?

Education credit of $250 is an adjustment to income for teachers, counselors, and other educators..  If you're an educator, you can take that adjustment, otherwise, it needed to be deleted from your income tax.  To delete the form in Turbo Tax:

  •  In Tax Home Screen, click Tax Tools, then Tools.
  • Under Tool Center, click delete a form.
  • Under Review Form List, scroll down and delete the form.
