Why my dependents wont cross over to my student droplist for education ?

Is it possible the dependent is not your child? Only qualifying children can be used to claim their education expenses.

If it is your child and they are still not coming on the drop down list I would recommend you go back to the dependent entry screen and look at the relationship you have. Maybe you accidentally said they weren't a child and if you correct it then they will show up on the drop down box for education.

Work through the dependent information again under the Personal Info tab. You "MUST" select the option to indicate the child lived with you "the whole year". So read the small print on that screen, then select "the whole year".
