Why would it keep looping me through the education topic, claiming that I'm missing information when I can't figure out what information I'm missing?

    Try these options to fix the issue you are having:

     

    For Turbotax Online

    • Check ‌your browser's settings. (Clear your Cache and Cookies)
    • Check on your internet connection
    • Try using a different web browser

    If you are using TurboTax Desktop

    • Make sure the software is updated. 
    • Reboot your computer
    • Check your firewall and antivirus settings. Make sure they aren't blocking any feature of the software.

    You may have to delete the student and start over. Go through the entire education interview until you reach a screen titled "Your Education Expenses Summary".  Click delete next to the student's name.  You'll then get the "Your Education Expenses Summary" screen again.  Click the "Add a student" button.

    Your student must have been previously entered as your dependent, in the personal info section.
