Question

With turbo tax online I don't want to claim myself as my mom does but I don't see the option not to claim myself?

    In order to ensure TurboTax is not allowing you to claim yourself, make sure you have answered all the questions in "My Info".

     

    Navigate to My Info, Personal Profile, select "revisit" under your name. 

     

    • Continue through the interview until you get to the page "Let's check for some other situations" and choose "Another taxpayer can claim me as a dependent on their tax return" and answer "Will this person claim you on their 2024 tax return?" with "Yes."
