Would an E-Textbook through my school from Cengage be considered Required or Not Requiredto be purchased from the school?

Last year the only new textbook required for my course was a limited-time-use e-book from Cengage. Accessing it of course required me to go through the school to access the textbook, and additional lessons such as quizzes and tests for the specific class that the professor has access to for grading.

I haven't found any information on whether e-books such as this count as required or not required to be purchased from the school because it's not physical. Is there a consensus on this with the above information?

You can list it under Books Required to be purchased through the school.

Since it sounds like you were attending academic classes it won't matter, but you can list it that way. The cost will count as an education expense for either education credit.
