I am helping a friend who is using TurboTax Deluxe online for the first time. He has completed the tax return and is at the point of filing with CRA. The first step in the process is that he pays for the software before he can move on to the second step of filing with CRA. He is not sure if, after he pays for the software and files the tax, his tax forms will go directly to CRA or to a third party. He wants assurance, so could you please reply to this message to convince him of the process?

After paying, the next step is filing your return with CRA, and he can get that done by following the filing of the return to CRA. TurboTax is CRA-certified software. When the return is filed, it is transmitted to CRA directly and not to any 3rd party. Once the return is filed, you will receive a confirmation number that is directly generated from CRA.
