I am unable To NETFILE first time happening even after correcting the error

Message from the CRA:

 

CRA Result Code: 84

 

#95033 - Your software generated entries on the Schedule 8 and/or Form RC381 for CPP/QPP contributions based on the information you entered from all your T4 slips and one of the following situations applies to your return. Please verify your entries and make the necessary corrections. If all of your entries are correct, you will have to file a paper return.

 


1. Your province or territory of residence on December 31 is other than Quebec. Your software generated an entry on line 50330 from box 17 of all your T4 slips and, if applicable, on line 50331 from box 17A of all your T4 slips. Your software should have also generated an entry on lines 50310 and/or 44800.

 


2. Your province of residence on December 31 is Quebec. Your software generated an entry on line 50330 and, if applicable, on line 50331. Your software should have also generated an amount on line 50310.Your tax return has not been accepted by the Canada Revenue Agency. It contains errors that must be corrected. Please review the following error(s), make the necessary corrections, and try resubmitting your return. For forms or additional information, visit the Canada Revenue Agency website and the Corrections page on the NETFILE website. For further assistance, please contact us.

 


Most Canadian income tax and benefit returns for 2024, and any balance owing amount, are due on April 30, 2025. contact us

 

You have 3 options:


• Recommended: Correct the error and then try NETFILE again.

 

Please note: You only have 5 attempts to NETFILE your return before the CRA will lock you out.

 

If the problem persists, please contact TurboTax Customer Support for assistance.


• Write down these error message codes: 95033, 95033, 95033, NA, NA. Then, contact TurboTax Customer Support for assistance.

From my understanding, it's a TurboTax issue, it's not generating the return properly. I had the same issue, it let me file QC but not CRA with the same error code. I made an entirely new tax return with TurboTax and the exact same thing happened again. I tried Wealthsimple and it worked. I'd suggest trying them if you can. It seems TurboTax doesn't care about this, it's been happening since February. We are aware of this issue and working with the CRA on a resolution. Currently we don't have any ETA. Once it is resolved, we will update you in this thread. We appreciate your patience.

As per the CRA: There is an entry on line 50330 and, if applicable, on line 50331, for QPP contributions and one of the following situations applies to your return:

 

  1. The province or territory of residence is other than Quebec. An entry on lines 50330/50331 requires an entry on line 50310 and/or on line 44800.
  2. The province of residence is Quebec, or the return is for a deemed resident of Quebec. An entry on lines 50330/50331 requires an entry on line 50310.

@firo30 Is your province of employment Quebec? If not, remove amounts in box 17 on the T4 if your province of employment is not QC.

Hi your tech support is aware of this problem and it has nothing to do with Boxes 17 , 17A , 16 or 16 A , she even logged in to my account and verified that everything is ok from my end and it was not the numbers , it is a coding error in the program and it was escalated and i am still waiting for a response . I had to print and mail it , error 84 is a software problem and not a CRA problem . Thank you
