No, this at least the tenth time. The only changes from prior years, other than amounts, is that he is now filing as married and he is filing late.

Filing late would not make a difference. I would recommend that you make sure that the question in the interview section—did your marital status change this year—that you would put "YES" and the date of the change. If the CRA doesn't have the updated information, they might refuse it.
