1040 line 29, health indurance premiums

Is it correct that premiums that are automatically deducted from Social Security payments should be entered into 1040 Schedule 1, line 29 ?   Instructions say to include voluntary payments, however I am guessing this includes the premiums deducted out of my Social Security payments.

    Yes.  For self employed health ins?

     

    Medicare plan B payments are qualified as Self-employed medical insurance premiums and should be entered under Business instead of in the Social Security Benefits entry area.

    Yes, for self employed.  Just to be clear, by Social Security Benefits entry area, I think you mean 1040 line 5.  There is a worksheet for line 5 which asks for the amount of the deducted premiums, and I put it in there, but it doesn't transfer to line 5a or 5b in the main 1040 form.  So I think I'm good.
