In our divorce decree we both kept our vehicle and stated that each is responsible for it. After our divorce was finalized he let his vehicle get repossed. Six years later and I receive a 1099-C stating the amount of debt discharged is like $7623.00. He states he did not recieve anything. Why did I receive it and he didn't? Is there anyway to have the IRS change it to him or am I SOL?
