If there are only zeros on your form, do not enter it into TurboTax, as it will cause an error.  If the account number shows 0000000000, leave that field blank.   Check your form carefully and if you know you received dividends that need to be reported, contact the issuer and have it corrected.

The zeros are actually correct for Vodafone.  Why won't Turbotax accept them?

I am referring to the federal ID number as being all zeros, accepted by Turbotax in prior years.

What was your solution?  I am getting the same error and my 1099-DIV forms were imported so the numbers shown come directly from the forms.

Just put in the zeros as shown on the 1099 and complete your inputs.  At the end you will do a review, and the software will flag this as an error.  Just click CONTINUE to complete your work.

I did that to complete everything but it will not let me efile now.

Just talked to someone who said to BLANK OUT the zeroes in the 1099-DIV that was loaded.  After I did that, I could e-file with no problem.
