Doing my 2019 tax return.

I received a 1099-G for unemployment/paid family leave. What do I select for this question:

What type of payment did you receive?

- Taxable grant

- Agricultural program payment

- Market gain on CCC loans

- Reemployment trade adjustment assistance (RTAA) payment

- Business or farm tax refund

I no expert but none of these apply. Would appreciate the help.

You are entering the 1099-G in the wrong section of the program.

  • Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
  • Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business)
  • Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
  • Under Unemployment
  • On Unemployment and Paid Family Leave, click the start or update button

Or enter unemployment compensation in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to unemployment compensation
