I am trying to fill out my taxes for 2021. I received unemployment benefits during 2021 so I am trying to input that information into my Turbotax forms. it asks for 1099-g. When I try to get my 1099-g all the NJ unemployment website gives me is Box 1 and Box 4. I ask for it to be emailed to me but I never get the email, so I dont have the full 1099-g form. Turbotax asks to upload the form or type it in manually. Since for whatever reason it wont email the actual form I want to type it in myself. But it asks for Payer Federal ID Number and other boxes than just Box 1 & 4. and I dont know that information. How do I go about filling this out? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm pulling my hair out here.

New Jersey 1099-G Tax Statement Available Online Only.

If you received Unemployment Insurance benefits, the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development (LWD) will provide you with Income Tax Form 1099-G (Certain Government Payments). However, the form will no longer be automatically mailed.

Unemployment Insurance benefits recipients will now have two options:

  1. View and print a copy of your Form 1099-G by logging into your unemployment benefits online account. In order to access the form on the LWD website, you will need your online user ID, password, and Personal Identification Number (PIN). If you cannot remember your PIN or are having difficulty with it, you can contact a Reemployment Call Center. The Reemployment Call Centers are:

    1. Freehold (732) 761-2020
      Union City (201) 601-4100
      Cumberland (856) 507-2340
      Out-of-state claimants may call: (888) 795-6672
If you are unable to access the self-service system to obtain the 1099-G statement, you can contact your Reemployment Call Center to request a copy. The Tax Form 1099-G will be issued in January, and will cover the previous calendar year in which benefits were paid.
    2. If you are unable to access the self-service system to obtain the 1099-G statement, you can contact your Reemployment Call Center to request a copy. The Tax Form 1099-G will be issued in January, and will cover the previous calendar year in which benefits were paid.
