You can enter the 1099-MISC and not claim it as self-employment income.

Scroll down PAST Self-employment under Wages & Income to

"Other Common Income"

Click Show more

Scroll down to 1099-MISC

Click Start

Enter the 1099-MISC

On the screen that asks if any of the following apply, be sure to select "Money from a lawsuit"

Once you click that radio button, a drop-down will open asking if it was for back wages.

Continue through the interview.
