1099-misc & Self Employment Health Care Premiums Deduction

I'm a self employed freelancer and I qualify for the health care insurance deduction. All my income is on the 1099-misc. I have very simple taxes this year,  since the health insurance payment deduction is the only deduction I plan to claim.

Question: Do I only need to put this info in Box 6 of the 1099-misc, or is there something else I need to fill out?  And if so, will Turbotax walk me through this process step by step?

You will be completing Sch C. On that schedule you enter your health insurance premium under expense for health insurance. Turbotax will then put it in the correct line on the 1040.

I can't find anywhere to enter Medicare Part B premiums to claim as self-employed health care premiums.  Where it is?

Medicare plan B payments are qualified as Self-employed medical insurance premiums and should be entered under Business instead of in the Social Security Benefits entry area.  So go back and take it off your SSA-1099 entry.
