Question

1099-NEC box 6 is blank but turbotax app won't let me continue unless it's filled. I double checked and made sure that box 5 through 7 is blank.

The 1099 has "$0.00" in 5 and 7, I made sure it is blank after reading a post on if 5 or 6 blank, leave all blank.

Yes, they should be blank.  Try the following after deleting this form.  In this situation, first please try clearing the cookies and cache.   It handles many issues that seem nonsensical on a regular basis. 

  • Close your TurboTax return first.

Watch to be sure you are selecting 'all time' as example.  Do not use selections like 'last hour' for those browsers that give  you options.

Once this is complete open your return and enter your form leaving those fields blank (box 5-7).
