1099 NEC from Hawaii but live full-time in Colorado

Hi turbotax community,

 

This is my first year freelancing full-time. I live in Colorado but work remotely for multiple Hawaii-based companies. Do I need to file a nonresident state tax return for Hawaii?

No,  it doesn't matter where the company is based, what matters is where you are doing the work.  To qualify as working in the state you would have to be physically present.
