On my 1099-R, box 16 amount is a fraction (about 35%) of box 1 and 2a (which are the same). Is this amount (box 16) the total considered taxable by my state of PA? Box 14 is 0.
Is this what I would declare under the State section in TurboTax?
It appears that regardless of what number is in box 16, it makes no difference to the TurboTax software.
