1099-R for State Retirement Pension

Turbotax is asking for my RMD for my state retirement pension which comes via a 1099-R.  I've been filing for decade now and this is the first TurboTax asked for that.

I have not received any information from the State Emplouee Retirement System about an RMD

I believe it does not apply in this 1099 case.

Any suggestions?

If you are age 70 1/2 or older the pension you received for the year is all an RMD.

I am and that's how I handled it.   TT should offer that as info somewhere along the way

Thanks

When you enter a 1099R for a pension you just need to say it was all an RMD.  A pension meets the requirements for RMD.
