1099 received after final 1041 filed

I filed my mother's trust return 1041 as final in 2023.   I received a 1099 for dividends and a 1099-B with a loss for 2024.   What do I need to do?   Do I just file the 2024 1041 and check the final box again?   Or do I amend the 2023 to remove the final check box?  There are losses that need to flow through to the beneficiaries in this final return.

Yes, you may file another estate return after marking the previous year as final. Filing another return will reactivate the filing status.
