2019 premier on mac, won't stop updating, unuseable !

We finished our taxes with turbotax, but now want to do some what if's for 2020.

The software is stuck updating. Whenever i try to open a return it wants to update, then after it updates it still wants to update. Kind of unacceptable ?

Come to think of it, i think i had same problem last year 😞 Perhaps i had to uninstall and reinstall, can't remember. But Intuit Turbo should have solution posted somewhere for this ? I'm sure i'm not the only one.
