Is it necessary to uninstall 2020 TurboTax disk in order to install and use 2020 TurboTax Deluxe on same device?

Why are you trying to do that? The 2020 desktop software versions both have all of the forms and schedules needed for any tax return. If you already had Deluxe installed/downloaded and wanted to upgrade to Premier for extra help with something like rental income or investment income, all you need to do is click "upgrade" in the software and upgrade your already installed Deluxe to Premier.

To answer your question--you cannot have both of them on your computer at the same time.

And putting in another CD/download will not increase the number of federal e-files you get. The limit is still five no matter what.
