I have a

2021 1099-R Form with box 7. Distribution Code(s)
B2

This causes the following error:

Box 7a Distribution Code Invalid. A distribution code of B should not be used for IRA Distribution.

Note - I indicated this was from a Roth.

Please clarify the question

Code "B" is a Designated Roth account distribution, and
code "2" is an Early distribution (except Roth), exception applies
Is this a ROTH distribution
Was there an exception that applied
- Early withdrawal before age 59 1/2
- Covid withdrawal
- Other disasters
- other reason

the IRS uses the codes to help determine whether the recipient has properly reported the distribution. If the codes they are incorrect, the IRS may improperly propose changes to the recipient's taxes.
